Hey guys i am 6'4" and am getting into the cafe racer scene. Being as tall as i am i sometimes get made fun of for my choice of bike. Dont have a bike right yet but will soon. So post some pics if you are tall and ride cafe! Come on show my friends i am not alone out here! ;D
I make my Husaberg look small LOL. All legs only pic I've got of me on any of my bikes, past or present. I just got back from the Doc's, 6'1 and 197Lbs......I was only 175Lbs in that photo, I'm slightly less fit now ( I havent done a situp for quite awhile LOL )
Wow, what a bunch of little fellows! ;D I'm 6'7" and 260 lbs, although I need to get back down to around 240lbs before April when the trackday season here in Michigan starts. :
I ride a 2003 zx6r on the race track and a 2001 zx12r on the street. I have a 1977 kz400 project bike that I am building but I probably will just sell it when the build is complete.
I definately look kind of funny on the race track with the zx6r. The biggest issue I see in pictures and videos is that it takes a lot more effort for a big guy like me to get into a good tuck behind the screen. Although during hard braking I can sit up right and I act like a big airbrake.
I ride the zx12r on the street because it is a pretty big bike and I don't look too bad on it. If I decided to ride a cafe style bike myself, I'd probably build a kz1000 or even a kz1300. Rearsets placed far back help to make room for those of us with long legs.
But in the end, if you like to ride, just do it and enjoy yourself and don't worry about what anyone thinks. I mean after all in my opinion 99% of the harley riders look like total douche bags even though they think they look cool! ;D
My next bike project has to be bigger. I like the vintage thing the CB has going for it but i need somehthing bigger. can you Cafe/ bobber a gold wing . thats a big bike....

"Height: 6-deuce ......Sex: hell yeaaa" - remember that scene from Don't Be a Menace to South Central while your Drinking your Juice in the Hood
I am using a thickly padded seat to prop me up more and going to move my pegs back and modify my brake and shift levers to match. Rear sets might move the feet back, but they move them up, which negates any real comfort change, I find.
I am 6'4" and make my Guzzi look small. I am sitting on in in a video on this month's BOTM. So long as it works for you dont sweat it. I dont ride to make a fashion statement anyhow...
I'm 6'3 about 240 and broad as a barn. When I first got my cb750 everyone was like "You need a bigger bike." I was like "This is the biggest one Honda made in 72!" Anyways, the clip on's helped along with the lower cafe seat. If it looks funny now, screw it... it's mine.
I'm 6'4" and 270 lbs. and I hear the same thing that the rest of you do. "You need a bigger bike". I tell them a bigger bike couldn't make the smile on my face, after I ride, any bigger.
It fits me better than 90% of the new bikes out there. Its nice and tall, I sat on a Haybusa abd it still felt too small. My buddy let me try his 09 Vulcan Custom, too small...
I once picked up a 6'x3' table the long way without thinking... Got some strange looks on that one and the "Knuckle dragger" comment.
I'm 6'4, about 210. I do feel a bit like its all knees and elbows on my bikes. maybe I should change out the clip ons for apes and rear sets for fowards?
Speaking of being tall (and long) Wheres a good source for large size, touring style ,MC boots? I wear a size 15-16 and I can't find shit. I've always worn engineers boots cause its allI can find in my size.

I'm finding this to be an issue as well. I'm 6'2" and haven't had any luck finding a rearset postion that will work for me on my T500. The stock pegs put my knees nearly to my chest with the clubmans installed, but that's actually more comfortable than the rearset positions I've got available to me. I'm seriously considering ditching the rearset idea and going with drag or superbike bend bars.
What about just wearing skid plates on the boots and dragging some foot, and switching to some apes? ;D
I've running a stock seat with drag bars and stock pegs. Most of the time I end up putting my elbows on my knees. I'm more comfy when I put my feet on the passenger pegs but then my toes get all hotted up from the pipes.
I used to put my feet down on my sport bikes. One day someone in a car flew up beside me motioning for me to pull over. When I did they started yelling "your boots are smoking, your boots are smoking!!!!!"
