I will post pics after the striping is completed ;)

Love it, very nice work. Please post a pic when you have the red on. It should pick up the red in the badge nicely.

Looks terrific. How are you planning to do the pinstripe? Do you do them with a brush, or do you mask and spray?

Thanks for all the kind words, I will be striping it with a brush and putting another coat of clear this afternoon. more pics to come;)

This job is off a 1973 cb 750, the customer modified the tank heavily as you can see. I also am painting a duck tail racing seat and side covers for him.

This is what the job has entailed so far.

-Bodywork was ninety percent done, I just had to tidy it up a bit
-All the parts where sealed with epoxy primer.
-all the parts where then put into high build surfacer and blocked out twice.
-black basecoat was applied to all parts and cleared (3 coats)
-Parts where wet sanded down to 800 grit and white stripe was layed out. I also applied the honda decal at this decal at this point and re cleared.
-parts where wet sanded again and red stripe is to be done to separate the white and black and another coat of clear.

this process I charge $1000.00 with taxes and materials included. ( the customer provided the decal.)

I am glad you like it, I love doing bike parts;)

I will post pics of the completed parts tomorrow.- RD

The most under-rated steps to a superb paint job.

I am thinking about trying my hand at brush pin striping. I don't care much for masked and sprayed pin striping.
