Tank ideas

So I picked up an old 78 cb750K a few weeks back... I thought I was going to like the wide tank, but after swapping out the forks and adding the clip ons I quickly realized that she is going to need some modification. So far the game plan is to narrow it a bit, add some knee indents and I also was thinking about eliminating the recessed filler cap.

Anyone modify a 750K tank? Just wanting to see some pics of what some of you guys have done... Thanks guys!

So after seeing these tanks for about 50-75 bucks on fleabay... I decided what the hell and got busy with the wiz wheel. I cut the bottom out of it, cut that recessed section out of the top. I made some cuts in the tank so I could toy with how much to take out of the sides. Looks like I will be able to narrow the tank about 4-5 inches.

I think the toughest part is going to be making sure the front doesn't look like a garage hackjob... but here is where Im at as of tonight.

Anyone know what gauge I should use for the tunnel? I have some 20 around. I was thinking that with the arc in it, 20 should be thick enough. Thoughts?

I'll post up some pics tonight of how its looking now.
