Boys, I have a question I am sure some of you have already answered. However, I have a 78 cb750K and I am having a hard time finding tarozzi rear sets for this bike! :'( My question is: Will the set meant for K1 - k6 fit???? :-\
I would imagine it would be close enough, if not a direct fit. Worst case scenario you'd have to make your own mounting plate... not hard at all. I'd take a good hard look at your bike and pics of the rearsets, and if you don't see any drastic differences with mounting points you should be good. Or wait until someone with that exact experience chimes in.
Even if I found a rearset package that works, I'd still make my own plate and just buy the pegs/levers/linkages. It's way cheaper, and fun! But that's me.
no they will not bolt on, and looking at pics of a 78 K bike id say they wouldnt even come close. they mount in the fork at the bottom of the passenger peg mounts were the lower tube meets the frame. the k frame of 78 is different from the early K0-K6 bikes. I ran into the same troubles with my 78 F bike which is even different yet. I wound up just leaving my stock pegs on it. Im not sure about Raask rear sets, i cant remember if they make rearsets for the later K bikes or not? But the quality of Raask looks a bit hokey and Ive read about others having them break.
On the other hand with a welder you can make anything work on anything ;D
Raask has them I just got a set for Christmas for my cb550. the quality went down in them for awhile but I can tell you that they might have heard about people mocking there quality. well damn they are sexy, nice mounts nice foot rests and easy to set up.
