Hey, at least your one of the few around who could identify a Simplex rotary valve now.

Took it out to Ted's and Tandy ride it around with a big grin for a couple hours in first gear. The clutch is still slipping, so I'll look for a set of new plates (the set in there were pretty worn) after I pull them and soak in kerosene.

Even with the clutch slip, the bike is at least as fast as my CB450. The front end on this thing, however, is atrocious.

I also got to take the 75cc Kaw Dynomite around the track a couple times (and absolutely stuffed it into the ground coming around a tight corner). There should be pics in a bit.

Awesome.
She was so happy she even let you take her picture. Impressive.

Rich and Tandy..."you go first"...No, you go first."...."No you go ahead"....

A father daughter moment.....30ft later, the decision was made to start her off on the quad.

She loved that quad so much, she kept stopping and giving it a big hug!

I will say that putting my 9-year old on a 75cc two-stroke with no training was not my wisest move as a dad. She did have a ton of fun on the quad.

And then there was The Adventures of Rich....

Rich getting used to the power of a rotary valve 2/.....with 1-2in of suspension travel.

Rich WFO on the dynomite coming down the home stretch of our track. Of course, he left 10 minutes earlier. After a bit we heard no engine sounds coming from the back section of the course, so we sent out Ted on the chase bike. No sooner had we done that and here came Rich, flogging the living daylight out of that little bike. Seems he stuffed it into the ground rounding a 110deg turn on the back of the track.

So as with famous race courses, our little track now has its first named turn....."Brandt's Bend"

As far as Brandt's Bend goes, I'll just quote from the Book of Sonic:

"It hurt. That is all."

Awesome Rich, glad she loves it! You did well with this decision
