The birthday ride!

So to celebrate the wife's 34th birthday today, we got a sitter for the boys to ride out to a little English pub for some dinner. The wife donned her new Scorpion riding jacket that I thought might help her look even more badass and off we went. The weather was threatening severe thunderstorms that were just North of us for some time. Just as we finished it a few drops of rain came down and the wind picked up. The ride home was spirited but we made it ahead of the downpour..just in time to avoid having to wipe down all that chrome! LOL

Thats awesome. 6th pic is one to black and white and frame for her to remind her of the b day ride. Wish my wife rode. I got her to go on one ride with me on the back... I took it easy.. If you can see my bike it isn't exactly a cruiser. She told me to sell the helmet I'd gotten her and she'd just let me have my hobby.

Kind of a win, but really a loss. Wish she shared the enthusiasm, you're a lucky man!

I have been trying to get my wife to learn to ride, she hasn't bitten yet. She does however like to ride with me as a passenger so I at least have that. Congrats on the ride, hope you both enjoyed it. You will have to get harnesses and gear for the 2 little fellas when they gat a bit bigger and then you can take them along too! I had one fro my sone from 4-7, now he doesn;t need it and rides with me everyday to and from daycare and school. He loves it.

Griff, it is nice to have something to share with your spouse and if not, at least your wife can appreciate your hobby! She also loves to ride two up with me as I "instruct" her while we ride, pointing out good habits to form, hazards, etc. I'm happy that she learns so well. Now she's missing trail riding so we have to figure out how get away for a day to the trails.

Maritime, where can you find those harnesses for the kids? That's really cool that your son rides with you! Show your wife these pics, maybe she'll be inspired!
