19 front and 18 rear Lester mag wheels!
scored them cheap. i think they will need a little cleaning but should work great.
very pumped. i have 2 CB750s now and both are on lesters. my other is an F
was getting worried that i wasnt going to get them when i saw some of the prices on ebay.....$700 for just a rear 18 a few weeks ago....thats kinda crazy
going to try and get he frame cleaned up and ready for coating this weekend and get the bike back to a roller asap
what would you recommend for rear shocks?
CB1100F?
hagon?
progressive?
i have a set of progressive shocks on my F in stock length. was thinking about getting longer ones for that bike and using the standard length on this bike
whats happening is that the early CB750s are real collectors bikes as they represent a start of an age.
"sandcast" CB750s are selling for $30K-45K! and there are only a few differences to a K0 and then a few more to K1s.
K2-K6 bikes are less but starting to go up by association i guess.
not that long ago a running cb750 was $500 but now its $2500.
thanks alot.
they came out just OK. when you see them in person you can still see some deep staining from the years of sitting outside, but they will look great from 5 feet way...lol
secret is just time and sanding.

forget the colors of the rudge but they have numbers

then buff the hell out of them
i sit at night and sand while watching TV and it helps pass the time
i havent done the valve cover yet as all the little bumps and stuff make it a real pain to sand...
ive never done a dual disc conversation so i have a few questions.
the discs that are on the wheel have different offsets and i assume that is needed due to the wheel and speedo.
but then again i thought that people used two standard front disks...but is that only when dealing with a spoked front wheel.
i was able to buy another early caliper and bracket to use.
anyone have some good pics of what needs to be done to mount it to the leg?
How'd you get that deposit covered engine to polish to a high sheen like that? ...and not be bristly or raw looking, do you use compound or high rpm buffing wheel with a pad? Basically I'm looking for those results.

then three stages of buffing on a 3/4hp with a 8in wheel
i use a hard wheel for the first two stages and then a soft one for the last
SOooo the speedo drive housing that came on the wheels is cracked....
and the one that came off the K1 is "thicker" then the other one...
not 100% sure what to do about this....
still messing with stuff.
so i assume that i need a latter speedo housing to make this work?....
also the only thing i need is to make the one part of the drive spin with the wheel right?
what gives?
the rotors have the same offset but the wheel seems to have different offsets on both sides.
is this ok and its just part of the dual disk set up?
any help would be great
