According to wiki: In 1983 the 928S with a 4.7 litre 16 valve M28/19 engine and 5-speed manual transmission was the fastest car sold in North America, at 146 mph. And I outran one handily say 155-160 in a built '70 Mach 1 with 2.75 rear gears on I-35 at 2:00 am 8)
110-115 on a CB750 about a year later. ;D
on bike, on street?
Probably 1980 Suzuki GS '550' I built for production racing (still road registerd) about 170~175mph.(worked out from rpm & gearing)
Maybe YamahaFJ1100 with some mods, speedo showed about 175ish (probably 155~160)
Your looking for stuff about a mile ahead at that speed
Fastest I've driven was my Opel Manta GT 2.2 (built a 'special' engine ;D)
That would cruise at 125mph but got really 'light' around 130mph then downright scary at 145 (only ever did that once, just to see what it would do)
Then I moved to USA.
I don't think I've been over 55 mph since moving here
