So I'm about three months in and about $800 invested. Tanks going to be white with red stripes.... Cr tail with be red with white number plates.
Everything is done by myself.

The honducati.....

There's a lot of custom parts.... I'll be making some frame splice kits and I have a couple of extra swingarms I'll be making into oil tanks(3quart).....

Re: The honducati.....

Cool... looks liek you have a well equipped shop for this resurrection. Do you have the title sorted out with this being a scrap yard find?

Re: The honducati.....

Nice to see some one put in the extra foot work to make something else fit besides, same manufacturer, different model type stuff...

Re: The honducati.....

You are a Bad Ass my friend, my fav part is the breather tube, as simple as it is!! love it

The honducati.....

Thank you, I'm trying to take all the little things I love about bikes and put them into this
VT + bill of sale+ older then 15yrs= title (don't even have to be a resident)
Yeah I'm lucky, my father gave me our old machine shop. By day I built hydraulic systems and I'm at my bike/car/whatever shop at night. My father had me working in the machine shop and welding since I was like 7.

Re: The honducati.....

awesome work mate! The amount of work that has gone into this is amazing. Out of curiosity, why did you cut the frame rails and splice in replacements?

I'm guessing so the engine would be easier, if not just simply able, to be removed? That, or perhaps you're mounting the engine higher for some reason? Either way, the removable struts are bad ass, nice simple designs always look great.

It's impossible to get the valve cover off when the engine is in the bike. And it's a complete pain in the ass to take the motor in and out. So this was my answer. They sell a frame splice kit, but it kinda of complicated(jam nuts and threaded rod.) $200 and looks like ass.

I'm hoping to be done in about two weeks

Mount it higher with the pipe parallel with the chainstay...... I'm going to make my header this weekend. Also got my rear end almost done
