Worked on the tail section over the weekend. This is a pain without a contour gauge. Close to fiber glassing and hopefully I can keep the plug to make more seats. Need to get the clip on inserts to the machine shop to cut some holes for the wiring.
Got a little further on this one today as well. Got the wrong paint so Monday I'll get some lacquer to top coat it and the I can decide if I want to use this as a male or female mold.
If using it as a female mold would make the finished seat smaller, I'd go that route. From some angles its maybe a bit large relative to the tank. But an awesome shape for sure.
I agree Tim, from the rear it looks a little disproportionate. I think I might whack about an inch off the top.
Female mold makes more sense to me too, just a ton more work, but I guess if I'm keeping this one I should do it up proper.
While finishing up on the Cb400 seat I thought I would repaint the CB360 tank. Not that one has anything to do with the other, i just have A.D.D. and that's what happened. Have not cleared it yet. Not sure what I'm gonna do on the sides, leave em with just the Honda emblem or put some striping or something on it.
