The most desirable CB...?

I like the lighter bikes. The cb350-450 are ideal. I must say I do love my 500T. It's no more quirky than any other 35 year old bike. They have a great looking seat and the gas tank has a great shape to it. It's not as heavy as a 750 but feels beefer than a 350.

I like those too. if one should come up at an irresistable price, what quirky 35 yr old model specific things should one watch for? yours looks great. wish the pic was bigger

@BLAKE!
That bike is AWESOME. Did they come with that seat and that tank???? Yowsers that is an awesome looking motorcycle.

Yes, that is the stock seat and tank. The seats were tan but mine is painted black with upholstery paint. The tank has been repainted dark metallic blue. It looks better now. I finished the airbox removal and added pods on the carbs.

You can pick these up easily from $500-$2500 depending on condition and upkeep. The quirk? Well, they were only made for 2 years. Most bits are interchangeable with the 450 but a few internal bits are harder to find.

The 500T is one rare-ass bike. Good luck finding one...

For me- 1975 CB400F is THE year for THE bike. Pound for pound, it's hard to find a more fun bike.

I'd have to go with that, the 3 year run, styling and performance for the size of the 400f makes is probably my favorite cb... and I own one too so I'm a little baised :)
