....the more you give, the more you get! ;D

So the insurance co was more than generous following the fiery crash of the Ducati. This leaves me with some cash to play with, and what better play than a new bike. The mrs has been wanting a sportster for a bit, but I decided that if I'm goin to get a sporty, I want one I'll ride to. I ordered this Forty-Eight last week and it showed up today. Got some good parts coming for it--2-1 pipe, mid sets, and clip ons. Gonna lower the headlight too. Should make a really cool street brawler!

Then to find a track only 1098...

Thanks fellas! Got a RSD 2-1 tracker pipe coming for it, and some other good plans as well. Can't wait to get it on the road!

i hate sportster tanks. I don't know your thoughts on the matter, but that's the first think I'd look into changing.

weber that is not a typical sporty tank... it is a throw back to the vingate penut tanks with the flat bottom... all that wiht a fuel pump tucked up in there as well, it is not as simple as just swapping tanks.... take a look at it some time you see one you will see it is actually nothing like your typical sporty tank

The tank is part of the reason I like the 48 so much, but hey, certainly not for everyone! ;)

The 48 is the one Harley I would ride! Great minds think alike. Congrats. Oh yeah clip-on would look sooo good.
