The SkyTeam 'Ace' Resource

appreciate the info 2b, great spreadsheet.

I already have a straight through exhaust coming so i may get an after market carbi to squeeze as much juice as possible.

does anyone know if the 22mm miku would work on a 250cc engine if i decided to upgrade?

thanks alot

hey guys,
was digging through my grandfathers old stuff today and found some rad gauges, oil pressure etc
but i couldn't fully figure this one out, anyone have any clues?

definitely going to try incorporate a few for some historical value.

he even had some carby jets! but unfortunately they were too small :p

cheers, Dylan

seems to be a gimmick gauge. From back a ways and up until the late 60's or so a lot of vacuum, temp and pressure gauges did a lot of crazy stuff that really were like the first idiot lights, some were for fuel economy and as vacuum increased the gauge would read poorer economy... duhhhhh press the gas and econ goes away... today the same method is used really for sensors to provide those cool miles to go, mpg and average mpg etc.

This one seems to be from a British sports car so may be worth a few dollars to the person needing it to finish a reso

haha cheers tune

make's sense, may have belonged to one of my uncle's from their hooning days

does claim to be made in the UK which is nice :D

Vacuum ( maybe boost???ha ha) gauge. Markings show as an economy / fault finder diagnostic usage.

I do love the bottle though, she's a beaut. Hopefully sounds great too!

Have any of you Sky Team 'Ace' owners fitted a small half fairing? possibly frame mounted to your bike ?

I have a CB125 that I use All Over the place and take it on Long rides and want to find a fairing I can adapt to it to block the wind for me(I'm 6 ft. 200 lbs) and the luggage behind me. I'm installing an XL185 motor and later a high performance XL200R engine and plan on using it to go everywhere;just came back from a trip to CA. from PA. and back. Small bikes are Great ! ;)

I haven't looked seriously at these yet, but the write up seems very thorough and comes down heavily in favour of the Givi A660 for an old CG125. Also gives guidance on how to size a windshield effectively before buying.

Hi 2b,
I see that it's a clear plexi-shield and that's one option I might pick but my first choice would be finding a fiberglass fairing type that fits strongly to the lower frame w/ brackets and then install a clear shield onto that.
I think a half-fairing design which protects my knees and upper torso will be best and I can then adjust the height of the clear attached windshield to suit my riding style.I think style is important but it isn't my first thought.. I want an aerodynamic style half fairing that will also protect me along w/ my luggage. I want to use my bike as a 125 style 'touring bike' if you can imagine that :D I plan on installing Krauser saddlebags from an old BMW later on..

heya guys,
I really hope I'm just being a dope here but when setting up my new ACE its seems like the clutch wire isn't long enough?

any ideas?

cheers, Dylan

Try fitting the lever second and removed from the perch, then if it really takes some pulling and the clutch is disengaged when installed, all adjusters are set to full slack, you may have the wrong cable... Wont be the firs time.

thanks for the tip, seems like she just needed some brute force

just curious if anyone else's machine took quite some convincing to get going? I need to give it some throttle for a fair while for it to idle, choke just seems to kill it instead of revving up.
anyone have this with the bike brand new.

also, here is a pick of what I think is a new feature compared with most people's pre-2014 bikes - the different carbi air intake - for those who are curious

obviously the side panel is removed and the battery now lives attached to the other side of this unit

Now you have the side off, change the foam for better filter foam. Emgo market a sheet of foam you will get four filters from . Bike will go much better . Original foam is restrictive.

will do! thanks for the tip

Great battery "box"

In NZ I can't seem to find the emgo foam. Do you have a link to it where i might find a part number/specs. So I can see if I can find an equivalent.
