I had a XS750 Trip over winter..Total basket case, never wanted to run properly.

Should'a pushed it off a bridge ;D

Wait.....you passed on a running XS triple?
If it was running it could be made to run right....... :-[

A triple has a unique sound, one that's well tuned and properly hotted up evokes similar respose to that of a Ferrari Daytona V8. I love mine...

Yep. Bought it for $650 in winter..Worked on it for months, never got it right..Being used to Honda's, This thing was like blind man walking..The Yamaha stuff is so diffrent than Honda stuff...

I found the Honda, and needed the space, so I made the XS750 go away for $100.

Oh man, I really like the way these XS750 look + sound. And actually for any adventurous soul in the North East. On craigslist you can prob put the majority of one together for around 350, $200 frame w title in Delaware, Free Engine in Bihmington NY, $75 Carbs in New Hampshire, And $55 for a ton of odds and ends in NY state.
lol a complete bike in under 400 +/- Haggling, though a lot of driving.

Aetsh what was the biggest thing that put you off about this bike? I'm kinda interested in picking one up eventually. The engine maintence and tuning is a b-?

Granted I was still in my infancy of MC repairs, I just found it very confusing to work on..I had worked on only a few hondas up until that point, so I'm biased..

All in all, I wish I would have kept it..The guy down the road bought it from me, did everything short of a motor out resto, and it looks and runs great...I try to keep it out of my mind that I got rid of it :-\

Its a good warning, after workin on aa honda i was thinking itd be nearly same thing. It prob has a lot less parts available, at least OEM support maybe limited.

It happens, I had a cb360 i wish i kept. Not having a title and being in salty shape nixed it for me.

That cracklin Kawi is something else redbird ;D , awsome

Last weekend leaving Rockerbox we took the interstate out of town. Just past the State Fair on the other side of the interstate there was a trooper with someone pulled over. My buddy and I were truckin' right along, my little 550's turning about 6200 rpm. The trooper actually turned around from whatever he was doing to the person stopped and watched me as long as he could(watched him in my mirrors).

It was funny because I'd just been telling my buddy how people out in yards'll stop what they're doing and watch me go by. Doppler effect, sound vortex? Dunno I wear a helmet and earplugs.

There's a dude that advertises on Craigslist that he'll ride your bike up and down the street past your house so you can see and hear how badass it is. Next time I see the ad I'm going to contact him. He seems to be nationwide.
