Thinking about upgrading to a Lithium Battery

I want to upgrade to a Lithium Battery to hide under my seat but am concerned about the current electrical equiptment on my cb400t being able to cope with the change. One of the employees at "Anti Gravity" had this to say:
You can usually use the 4-Cell fine on the older CBs… but it also depends on if your starter is in good condition and if the wiring is good. Or maybe you don’t have a starter which is even better for using a smaller battery. The second consideration is that you HAVE to upgrade you charging systems…it nothing major but they make a part to replace the older style voltage regulators. What happens is the older type voltage regulator goes bad and over charges Lead or Lithium like our batteries and ruins them. So you want to make sure you do that upgrade.
Does any one know about this repacement part/voltage regulator for older bikes?

http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com has what you need. Send them an email to ask about your particular bike. You may need to get a rectifier/regulator combo for your situation.
