I am up for whatever but only if we can change the date from the weekend of the 30th. If not I will make a visiting trip on another weekend or week and set my sites on Barbor. If Barbor is the same weekend as last year I have no confilcts so far but the website hasn't put hte dates for 2011 yet. I now have a new to me T100 that can have bikes loaded in and its a 6 cyl 2wd so it is pretty good on gas. That may just be the ticket to get there and back in a decent amount of time.
 
My buddy, who is picking up his new Concours tomorrow, and I will be there if things go forward as planned. If anything's changing, I would need to make sure I can change my vacation time.

Well this is certainly the case with me. I have at the very least 2 guys coming with me. We might even record a podcast episode there.
 
I'm definitely in, will PayPal the deposit to whoever is taking them. I'll probably sleep outside in my eno hammock but I'll throw in money to get the hostel. Sounds like a blast.

May have some friends come with me, I'll get back to you about that.
 
The problem is that there will eventually need to be $1300 or so put up. The main issue is getting all of that together. I want to see this happen but I have to say, its a big undertaking.
 
Well if people know for sure they're going they could pay in full in advance? Just a thought. I'd be willing to.
 
I'm in. By myself though. The wife doesn't want to go camping in the middle of summer. I can pay a deposit or in full.
 
Judging from the poll, we have 23 which is prob a little low since you can only vote once even if you are bringing 3 others. So let's say 25 people ( which is about how many the hostel and motel hold) At $1100 (400+700) that is $44 a person. Bob said he would collect the monies. So if every one sent him $45 per person via paypal he would have it covered. He would need to keep a list of how much everyone paid and refund some of that when more people come.

Keep In mind several people have talked about getting cabins, exempting them from throwing in for the group spot, at least that's how I assumed it?
 
That would be paid in full. If we could just lay down a deposit the $ per person would drop. The poll has a separate reply for cabins

I wish it would, but I don't know if I see 15 people chipping together to get this..
 
So... Is this thing still happening? Sounds like a lot of people are having doubts/ backing out/ can't get time off/ etc. I'm really hoping this thing comes together. It'd give me good motivation to finish the bike! Let me know if it's a go, and where to send the moneys.
 
I don't see the issue. Mike if I have to take over I will (and that is in no way saying it isn't being handled. I am sure it is!) , but I won't let this slip by, it is too big of a deal for me and my local friends. I am in definitely with a confirmed 5 in tow. That just sets the count higher. If it's $1300 so be it....we already have 23 confirmed at the top of the page. Even with that number alone, minus the in tow people, that only equates to $53 a person. I'm ready to pay whenever and wherever. Whatever I have to do to get this set in stone, I will. It will happen. Let's make it. No more dirty dish water....clear as a bell till I'm drinkin a cold one with you guys!!!!

No it isn't. Think of what a hotel costs. And that doesn't include 50 miles or more of the best riding in the country.
 
Yes, we can't let Mike's idea die on the vine. I went through the thread and made a list of everybody that said they were coming.....

(VonYinzer said he was going to get a cabin so he isn't in the count)

If anyone on this list has to bail or is definitely bringing more people, say so and I will update the list.

If we paid for the hostel and motel in full in advance, that is $1100 / 25 = $44. I know some people were planning on tenting it, but $40 is actually a fair price even for a tent space for two nights. Then, when more people come, the people that paid more than they needed to can be reimbursed. We just need to get the place reserved.

Kiley, would you contact Jody at the resort to see if we needed to pay in full for the hostel/motel or if we can just drop a deposit? That would drop the initial layout.

Mike, I know you said you were swamped at work and we are more than willing to make sure this thing happens.

I can not give a yes or no 100% it is going to be by the seat of my pants. i will worry about my accomidations when i arrive, or before i leave. it is really depending on what i have going on in the shop and what shows we have been requested to do.
