Throttle Cable issues

Coast to Coast
I just put new throttle cables on my 74 Cb550. When I have any pressure on them, there is a hang up. It doesn't look like any of the bends are tight or kinked. I checked in the controls and they don't seem to be binding there. Could there be some rubbing or housing or burrs in the barrels that would be rubbing on the cable? When I pull the throttle, it doesn't snap back. I even adjusted the tension.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The hang up- is it like more of a tick stop or does it slow down a good bit in one area of the throttle?

Are you sure both cables have enough slack? Quite often the return cable drags if the tension on it is too tight.
