Throttle Cable Joints

Alright, I am working on a '75 Honda CB 360. I ordered this half turn throttle assy from Dime City and the threads for the throttle cable are non-stock.

No big deal.

What is a big deal is that I have no idea where to order new threaded cable ends / elbows and / or what size and type specifically I am looking for. I would like to just cut the stock cables, shorten them, and reinstall the correctly threaded elbow ends. Can anyone help me determine exactly what pieces and parts I need to pull this off and where to grab them???

Looks like the new throttle assy from DCC is threaded M7 - 1.0 from testing it with a thread checker.

I emailed DCC to ask for advice and have not gotten a response in over two weeks.

Anyone with experience modifying the stock cables, or who can point me toward cables premade to fit my purpose?

Help is greatly appreciated. I am so close to finishing my build! It's always just one more thing tho...

you would be better off buying a new cable that has the correct end to fit the throttle

it will be a lot cheaper than getting the parts

and you will not have to solder the throttle fitting which is a difficult end to solder at home and not flood the cable so it breaks

Suggestions on where to buy the cable with the correct ends to fit the stock carburetor mounts?

I see lots of recommending motionpro they will make any cable custom to your specs
