Throttle tube stuck

Been Around the Block
Well I really feel stupid having to post this, but I've tried about everything I can think of.

I got my new grips and throttle tube today. The throttle tube is generic and needs cut to length. So what do I do...I put it in the grip. Now I can't get the sucker out. I can't get anything to hold onto the tube to pull the grip off.

Any advice? Going to take a pic of it now.

I put the tube into a bench vise (just tight enough to grip it), then use compressed air to get the grip off.

If I had an air compressor...I may have to take it over to a friend's place tomorrow and use his compressor. That is if no other options present themselves.

You can try some water in there, but I would avoid any kind of soaps / oils.

I tried some water, but I could only get it in about 1/4 of the way. Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it.
