titanium nitride coating

Looking for more information. Has anyone done this? I have seen it around and am very interested in doing so. There is a plating shop in my city waiting on an email back indicating price. Would love to see some of your guys projects.

it doesn't look practical from what I read...mainly used on medical tools, precision parts etc. what where you thinking about coating?

It was my understanding that titanium nitride coating is used on fork stanchions. harder than chrome, and has a lower friction point as well. which increases response time.

Aesthetics aside, i'm about to start my winter project of rebuilding my forks. Not only does this look good, but it increases performance too.

unless you planing on racing your bike, IMO, its not worth it.
