Oh and for those of you who might notice, the forks in this shot are only for mock up.. The standard inverted Showa's are off because the powdercoater f'd up the bottom triple clamp so its getting re-done.
Looking good so far. I love the TL's. I rode a TLR for several years and currently have a DL1000, sort of a geezer bike...but still part of the TL's family tree.
Anymore progress on this one?...
What tailend did you use for the bike... I love the TL1000 but the only thing Id change is the back end tail to something much sleeker and pointed like what you did... The stock tail reminds me of the SRAD GSXR 750...
New job and cold weather has slowed progress.. I have been working on it though and I do have a small stock of update photos that I'll post soon..
Also picked up a nice little Koso gauge so I'm working on the wiring for it and the headlight.
The tail is from an '05 CBR 600rr. It actually fits the stock subframe really well, you just have to fab some pretty basic mounting brackets for the fairing and tail light (also used a stock 600rr light).. I'm also using the stock passenger seat cap so I'm fabbing mounts for the hook and latch mechanism.
