To that Damsel in Distress on the 80 GS450 yesterday (Oct 3rd 2011) on Shuter St. who's battery died because it would start in the cold.. Here is your cold start list!


Im glad I was just there to help out!

1. Bike in Neutral
2. Headlight off
3. turn key on
4. gas on at the fuel tap if applicable
5. pull the choke lever to make the air/fuel mixture more rich
6. pull the clutch lever in
7. push the start button and turn the throttle 1/4
8. Once the motor starts, slowly push the choke lever back into the bike half way till the bike warms up
9. Once the bike is warmed up 5-8 mins, push the choke level all the way in to turn the choke off
10. put your lights back on and voila
11. Ride away!!
