Anybody been to this new shop or even heard of it? Is it worth my time to visit?

Looks clean but I'd hate for it to be or become one of those spots 3 or 4 regulars visit and shun newcomers just cause they saw it first you know?

thanks for the heads up.. honestly had no idea this was in the area seeing as I never visit that side of town..

I don't think it will turn into that, Jax isn't known for it's huge hipster douche cafe population, so I would imagine it's got a rocker/rockabilly crowd. Especially considering where it's at. Roselle and College?! You have to be tough to hang out in that area, hipster douches need not apply.

well if anyone makes it over there before I get a chance to... I would appreciate a review or something. ;D

OK, so for those of you in "the 904", I went to Ton Up Jax a couple months ago. Their shop is nice and open, the mechanic knows his shit (figured out what bike my carbs came from just from the model numbers...) They have a good size lounge area (maybe 25x30), big flat screen that has anything from movies to races on, they have the usual track suits/helmets/gloves/tires/etc for sale, and some rather interestingly designed Ton Up Jax shirts (hint: CB750 exploded engine diagram on the back). The owner is a down to earth kinda guy who races in vintage class road races, and also has a bad ass Duc he races in another class. All in all, just a cool place to chill if you don't have anything better to do on a Saturday or Sunday. They hold tech classes there also, I think the last one was BMW based. You can rent tools from them, although right now they don't have a lot as far as tool rentals go, but they're building from what they told me. I don't think the word has gotten out too much about it yet, it's only been there a year, but I can see it being a nice hang out/meet other riders spot in the future.

Jakub, where in Jax are you? I know there's a few of us on here that live around town. I'm down in Mandarin myself, and I know there's at least 1 or 2 that live on the westside.

I'm in st Augustine. But mandarins like 30 minutes from me. I became a ton up member last month but missed their last meetup due to a wedding... U ever make it to my side of town?

Every once in a while I make it down to St. Auggy Last ride I went on, we took A1A down to the merry-go-round and then went south another 30 miles. From there, if you come up US-1, you could make it to TU-J in about an hour.

Looking at their website and from what people have been posting online it sounds like a decent place.

Yeah, I haven't made it down there but the one time. Like I said, it's a neat place, they got a knowledgeable staff there, lots of room to stretch out and talk shop, places to hang up your jacket and helmet and room to wrench if you need. Hopefully this summer I'll have some more chances to go and get to know the people there.
