I have a BMW R80, 1977 and having a heck of a time sighting in the markers through the timing light hole. Anyone know another way to set the engine at TDC? Thanks
How are you doing it now? I have an R75/6. I presume you're rotating the rear wheel to turn the engine? Putting it into a higher gear will allow you to rotate the engine more slowly.
Never tried that. I was taking the spark plugs out and rotating from the engine with a hex wrench. Having trouble sighting it in from the timing hole though.
