Transmission Needle Bearing Dowel Pin (CB360)

Does anyone know how to remove this dowel pin? It holds the needle bearing for the primary transmission shaft in place and aligns the oiling port for that bearing. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! I have tried using compressed air, PB Blaster, and a magnet. Maybe I don't need to remove it, but I would like to make sure that the oiling holes line up. Maybe I could use a dab of silicone to hold the bearing in place...help!

In most cases there's no need to remove that pin. The picture may be deceptive, but is that pin flush with the surface where it should be proud? If so, it has probably pushed its way through teh casting and may be accessible from above. It has to be sticking up to locate the bearing. If it's an optical illusion and it is sticking up., leave it alone and start assembly.

It is either flush or sub flush, I should have mentioned that. The bearing has no positive stop when I spin it around in the journal. So I should re-phrase my question, how can I pull this pin up a little to be above the surface of the journal? I think the hole is blind, it does not come out the other side. Thanks for the help!
 
Drill a small hole from above and use a Pin punch to drive it out. Take your time.

Examine the hole and either use a longer pin or find a way to partially fill the bottom of the hole - I'd suggest a longer pin.
 
Usually a PO had the shaft slightly out of place an tightened the bottom end up and pushed it through. Happens all the time.
