Triple Shaving

The risers removed. I could so that myself, but I think the underside needs to be welded to support the loss of structure.

These risers are massive, and the webs on the underside look pathetic.

Yeah, those are some pretty flimsy looking webs. I could certainly mill them off for you, but the welding would need to be done elsewhere. If they were built a little heavier we could go the route of leaving the holes shine through.

Are you concerned with take the entire riser off, or could you just settle with taking 80% off?

I have two options at this point. Either remove enough of them so it doesn't look stupid. Or have a new one machined altogether. I can get a new aluminum one cut for around $150.

I have seen several people on here with shaved and welded OEM yokes, but they were mostly 340/360/750 CB's, and the CB77 Super Hawk is a very different animal

I'm sure it would only cost you half of that to have a local fabricator weld it up and machine those off.

That's my estimation too. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anyone in the community that I could give my cash to.

Now, assuming the brand new cnc'd triples cost twice as much, are they twice as good?
