Big guy on a little bike
A buddy of mine works at the local car quest and somehow got into the conversation of old bikes with a customer and the guy told him he had some old dirt bikes he would give us for free if we came and picked them up. So here they are.

If I've done my research right this is a '71 F8 250 bison

and this is a '76 kx125

neither run but they both kick over and we have all the parts (some in boxes but still there), could be some good fun projects for the winter, if not I'm sure someone needs the parts. I'm trying to get my buddy talked in to turning the 250 into a street tracker and might just get the 125 running and cleaned up cause its already in pretty good shape considering how long its sat

Great find! I'd love to get my hands on that KX!! Btw, the rear shocks are wrong. :p

Free bikes are the best bikes. Got a 73 cb750 (with title), in pieces this week.......

still though- if they were titled to him it should only take a trip to aaa w info to get replacement titles
( if he wants to do it for you )

yea i know the guy pretty well so it would be no problem, we are going to get them up and running before we even think about that though

I want to find some free bikes! Just bought a 74 CB360 on ebay for $216 :) complete. That F8 brings back allot of memories. I spent a few years falling off of a F7-175 in my youth.

Just trying to be helpful when I tell you this: Do Not put that much time into restoring those bikes, if you're At All considering legally having one of them registered, Before getting the titles. Otherwise, you end up with two restored and running bikes, that you won't be able to sell for anything, nor use on the road legally. This is a backwards way of going about this problem. Awesome score on the bikes, very cool old dirts, just from experience, I would tack any possible title'ing prior to restoring them.

yea i hear ya, not planning on sinking any money into them just some time to see if its even worth it. If we decide its worth while we will get titles then go for it. thats good advice anyway, nice looking out :D and i understand where your coming from there, if i didn't know the guy as well as i do we probably wouldn't even have taken them
