Here's my attempt at moving my rear-sets on my '83 seca. they're 6" back, raised slightly.
It doesn't look great at the moment, and I may be in over my head when it comes time to do the brake side, but this is what I've got so far.
It's good of you to post the images of a work-in-progress. I suspect once you grind down those welds a bit and trim or drill any metal that turns out to be not structurally needed that it'll work out fine.
