Turn signal indicator

So my CB550 came with dual indicators, one for right and left. I've since switched to a single indicator built into my speedometer.

I know that in order for this to function properly I need to put a diode on each positive wire from the signals before splicing into the light so that one circuit does not activate the other. Does anyone know which diodes to use for this?

I think the ones I got at radioshack were rated for 1 amp.
