Holy crap... that was scary. I can just picture one of those vehicles doing a lane change when he was splitting.
Gives us Canadians.. and motorcyclists a bad name.

I was going to make a glib comment that the rider is a near future organ donor, but at that speed, won't be much left to donate when something goes wrong.

Is it just me or does anyone else start to get a sick feeling when watching these kind of videos? Your kinda anticipating what's about to happen.

Imagine how many of these types of videos don't get posted because their shiny new GoPro camera couldn't withstand the impact of the concrete at speeds up to 299kmh.

Yeah but but in the back of your mind you know he lives because the video has been posted.

If you are going to step up on the soap box and speak for the masses you better check with them to make sure we agree with your words of wisdom. One dumbass does not make a nation of morons. :-X

How is know it was a Canuk? Nothing I could see to indicate that. Lots of other people from other places out there. Could have been an American, they're close. since this was in BC.....or a foreign visitor on a rented/borrowed machine...some Europeans drive like frustrated MotoGP riders. Who ever it was, I have to
admire their skill. I know I don't have it anymore, not at my age. The video is also titled as a 299km run, not a 299kph (185+mph) speedfest.

^^^

We don't know that he was Canadian for sure. That's Nucking Futs.

I did a great rate of speed on my (Wifes) new 07 650 Ninja while riding it home from its previous owners. A bike like that does more than I think I ever need to go. Its just a little cramped for me (6'3"). I couldn't get in a nice position where I would want to ride all day let alone 30 min.

Who has that picture of the rider hanging dead by his face off the back of a semi trailer?

Man Tim... Way to get a bunch of your countrymen all butt hurt for no reason. When they rise up and kick you out of the Great White North, move to Pittsburgh. Its a great town.

I suppose I should have prefaced it with a line from "I am Canadian".

I could tell by your beady eyes and floppy head.

All humor aside, I'm betting he gets caught. Bike is easily identifiable by model and likely year, narrowing it down quite a bit, and with the number of traffic cameras out there, there will be lots of pics of him (assuming it's a male - let the female contingent now get angry - just what I need - every Canadian woman angry at me... again).

I'm guessing its a Canadian rider as it was filmed on Victoria Island, not the most common destination for tourists on motorcycles, and the bike was displaying in KM not miles, so unless it was a visitor who borrowed or stole a bike and decided to take the ferry across to the island to film this.... well, I'd put my money on it being a local.

They have some great riding roads on Vancouver Island! Eh? ☻

There are some nice roads on the island, but nothing terribly long. At 300km/h he likely covered the island in 10 minutes ;)
