I dug into the twinstar, and the engine seems great. I've got almost everything i need to get it started and shortly there after running around town.
I have run into one problem though, the mufflers are rusted through in a spot or two.
Is it possible to cut the pipe where the muffler starts and then just buy aftermarket mufflers to put on? I would imagine so, but i figure i'd ask. The muffler and exhaust are one piece and there is a weld, could i cut it shortly before with a wheel and then smooth it out and attach something else?
If so, what would you recommend for a cheap, but decent aftermarket muffler. I want it to run like stock so something long enough preferably.
