are there any cafe style seats out there that allow a passenger to ride along but still look good? i know i could make my own if i had to but i don't really want to tear into the seat on my cb500t because it is in absolutely PERFECT condition.

here, not sure if this is what you're looking for, or how well it will fit, but it will give you an option at least, albeit ridiculously expensive. i really want the nitrohead seat below it, but the price is huge, like all that japanese stuff. it may be a little cheaper direct from the peyton place website.

PEYTON PLACE CUSTOM FLAT DOUBLE SEAT
Peyton Place semi double seat. If the larger standard seat is not the look you are after and you want to be able to have a pillion passenger then this semi double seat may be the answer. This seat will add the custom look you are after and there is still room for that close friend on the back or use it solo. Available in several trims by request (those shown are kept in stock). Available with or without the piping and in several pleated variants. It comes with the security seat screws shown and the Peyton Place alloy frame trims. Ready to bolt on to your SR400/500.
Part No. DP128 BUY $449

You could always go the route I did...

My "Cafe 2-up seat" (stock seat with sheet-metal fender eliminator):

And a seperate cafe seat:

Also, the MikesXS seats look great, or a guiliari.

Hey,

I found this picture (not mine) on the web and it may be similar to what you are looking for. It is exactly what I want for my CB350F so if anybody know where to get one I would like to know.

That looks like a Guiliari seat.. Noel "used to be" the man to see about these (and he can correct my spelling).

I think the usual place to find them is the german e-bay... And here's a tip, if you search for an item on the german e-bay, then put in .ca or .com and leave the rest of the address you get the price converted into $'s...

Also, Mikes XS makes a similar seat... but it bolts on to a Yamaha XS650 and has Yamaha written across the back.

Thanks! I did a quick search on eBay and found one for a CB750F so now I guess I will keep looking until I can find one for the CB350F. Do they still make these new?

I don't think so... Noel??

If you can't find one on e-bay, try taking a couple of pictures to an upholstery shop and see what their price would be.

Nope...
If you ebay search in Germany: Giuliari or Sitzbank you'll get a bunch of those seats.

Here is a Giuliari seat for a cb350F but it was recovered in Suede:

Here, you can make this fit easy:

I wanted to do the same thing, but the Giuliari seats were way more than I wanted to dish out. My advise is to find some pics of the seat you like, Carpy's Tornado is what I based mine off of, and take your stock seat to a experienced upholstery shop an have him do the work. It's how I got mine done an spent less than $100 (pics somewhere on here).

This seat is BEAUTIFUL! Do CB350F seats fit CB350 twins? Or is a similar style available for the CB350 twin?

I contacted the seller and he is selling a seat cover, not a seat. Shipping to Toronto was 16 Euro so I will pass for now. Thanks for the tip!

You know that's not actually that bad... get some seat foam and it's a quick DIY for the seat you want (allbeit maybe not the perfect finish).

How different are CB750 seat mounts compared to a CB550? There seems to be a lot of 750 seats. I'd like to be able to easily switch between my stock seat and a cafe seat.

Dual seat replica designed for a Triumph but could fit other bikes with mods obviously. ~$200.

I think that would look to long without the front fairing. Check my BAP thread-"Leper Messiah"-I just put my two-up cafe seat on a diet. It's a recover smaller cb seat with bolt-on mounts (no flippy latch)
