So, who's done it? Put your electrics under the cowl of the seat pan, that is. Could you post pictures of what you did and how. I have a '79 CB550 that i'm working on doing this to. The problem that i'm having is that the battery takes up way too much space, what type and size is the battery your using.
 
Check out proteals cb450 build. he has great pictures of what he did. I've got mine mounted up under there too, but no decent pics.

I have the electronics under the extended fuel tank and the battery in the seat cowl.

I put the whole thing incl. battery in a tray under the seat. It's a lead battery...

Great idea -- do you have a pic of the bottom of your seat?

Has anyone tried to fit the battery and electronics in one of Roc City's seat humps?
 
well, the bottom of the seat is just the seatbase - a flat piece of aluminum with shaped foam glued to it. Everything is in the tray...

I see... Thanks -- I may have to steal that idea for my bike.
