Uneven Backpressure

Alright guys, got another exhaust question for you - I recently found a broken up baffle in one of my mufflers and providing I can get all the bits and pieces out, will running one cylinder with a baffle and the other with what's left in there harm my motor in any way?

The bike is a CL350 and it's running fine right now, I took it out for about 30 minutes the other day before I noticed the broken baffle and didn't notice anything different. Any advice is greatly appreciated, google doesnt seem to have an answer to this one.

Are these stock or after market mufflers? Reason i ask is because after market has less baffles to begin with.

I dont have a good answer except for yet to replace both mufflers sooner rather than later.

These are the stockers, so I've still got some baffle in there and also the CL mufflers have that really small opening at the end that I'm thinking could help. At least it's not running wide open. The only reason I'm not jumping on a reason to re-do the whole system is I just got a replacement NOS muffler on the other pipe, and on CL's the top/right cylinder muffler is welded to the pipe, not a slip on like the bottom so I can't just thrown a new muffler on.

I guess I'm just wondering If I should finish out the nice weather riding a little uneven and take it to a muffler guy this winter without damaging anything else. Rough performance I can work with, but I don't want to be burning anything up. I'm still new at this so I'm just trying to figure out any possible consequences before I take it out again.

rework both chambers to match. You can get away with mismatched exhaust but you may run into issues with bad mixture right up to lean burning a piston or valve on the freer side.

Change both sides the same way and jet to suit....

you should be alright, might be leaner on that one cylinder. you should fix the issue sooner rather then later though.

Thanks for the input, I'm going to see what I can come up with to get them even again and in the meantime keep an eye on the plugs and try to keep the mixtures right. I know it seems like a stupid question but you guys helped a lot with my peace of mind!
