Boom, is there any contact info for the source? as in... when my friend is in Bangkok this Feb, where might he find these. or was it a transient market type thing. he said if he knew where it was he'd get a couple sets. I'm not in to mail ordering tho.

its a district around this intersection called Worachak. The best way to find it would be to write it out like that then show it to the front desk at the hotel and ask them to write it in thai, then get in a cab and ask them to take you there. The store I got them from will still be there, but I could only get you to that store again if I was there in person, I would have no clue how to explain how to get there. However there were 3 shops I found with rear sets, and Im sure there are more. THe store I went to only had one or two left and the other stores wanted more for them and only had one set each. There are also other areas that have motorcycle shops, but this is the big one that I found. It would probably be best to maybe print out a pic of some rear sets so you could show people cuz they arent gonna know what the fuck youre talking about if you say "rear sets." Anyways, he'll def find some if he puts some effort in, and tell him I say to check out the grand palace/temple, its the one touristy thing I would absolutely reccomend.

not likely, I went to thailand with school which made the trip pretty inexpensive, doubt Ill be able to get back to bangkok anytime soon, sorry.

i haven't started my cafe build, but either myself or my folks are hitting up SE Asia next year and i'll be able to get a few sets.
I'm based in Melbourne (Australia) though, so not much help to statesiders.

The district is called Sri Warachak I beleive. Dont hold me to that spelling, not that you really could since any english spelling is simply phonetic and things are often spelled differently in english yet are the same word in thai. As far as the exact location.. I could take you right there if I was there, but I have pretty much no way of guiding you there otherwise. I did find them at 3 shops though, so Im sure if you spend a few days there you can find even more, and its a cool district with low prices so spending time in it isnt a bad thing, esp if youre sick of being around loud annoying westerners. Anyways, I hope Ive helped a bit and good luck in finding some rear sets!
