Update on my CB250 Cafe Racer Project.

Crash

Crashing is a way of life
Updated pics of my ride. Since the last photos, I have lowered the front end another 2 1/2 inches, installed a side mounted tail / stop light, and reinstalled my bar end mirror. Comments are more than welcome.

Really nice, I like it. Well Done. Is that the tail light that I see molded into the hump? Looks pretty sharp!

are your clubmans black? i cant tell if its just the reflection on chrome or if they are...if so did you buy them that way and where? or if you painted them how did you go about it? i fear paint wont stick to that chrome as well as i hoped without scuffing the hell out of it.

Clubmans are black powder coated. Traded some old chopper bars I had to a friend that had these in chrome, and he powder coated them for me. Holds up pretty well. I have banged them around a bit and the coating is chipped in a few places. But, I still feel this is the most durable way to go.

gotcha ;) Bike looks fantastic btw, lean and mean...sometimes i wish a i was a little bit smaller in frame so i wouldnt look so damn funny on one...they are so much fun to flick around. My little KZ is a blast to ride, but it looks like a moped under me :-\

Those side-mount license plate/light combos are pretty readily available on eBay if you're looking.

Looks excellent!

Hey, Did you put risers on your clubmans to be able to lower the front more? Never even thought about that, Great idea!
(And still cheaper than clip-on's)

Seat looks much better now with the sidemount plate.

Keep up the good work crash - p.s. what happened to the 3/4 ton lady? lol

Side mount I got from Ebay for $35. As for the 3/4 ton pinup, flat black was just easier.

i just pulled a set of risers off this 80 750 for that very purpose...also..anyone know how to get the damn bar end mirror mollys out of the bars?? AND i have a set of superbike bars in clean condition if anyone is interested...

get a bolt that will thread into it, then a washer bigger than 7/8", put the bolt through the washer and thread it, tighten it and it'll pull it out......I had to do this before....

Got the risers from Ebay also. I believe they were $40 shipped.

Thats so cute..... lovely ;D

Looks great, love the shape of the tail section. Where did you get it and how much $$ do they go for?
That style & size tail piece would look great on my CB200T!
I have the same style tank as you,but mine has the stock rubber pad down the center and two chrome trim pieces down either side of the pad.
Just those tanks alone can bring good money on ebay if two or more people decide they both want it bad enough.
