Updates on my Yamhaha Radian

Been Around the Block
Thanks to the people who take time to answer questions and help out us rookies. Most of you guys are great. Other than giving parts to fellow Radian riders on this site, I haven't had much to contribute. Hopefully someday I'll have something more to offer. Well anyway, I have done a few things to my Radian over the last few months, ran in to some issues, but I like the way it turned out so far. I put knee dents in my tank, changed the exhaust, made a new seat(still need to sew up a new seat cover), different tail light, clip-ons and mirrors, new ignitor and wire harness, and some other things. Oh, and repainted it. Let me know what you guys think. And be honest. It'll only sting for a minute. ;)

Huge improvement over stock! Don't be giving away any Radian swingarms, unless you want to send one my way ;) They bring good $ from the XS650 crowd.

Sort the seat cover out and it will look even better.

The Radian looks great! I really like the tank improvments you made. Like time said, sort out the seat a bit, and ride this thing...no improvment necessary!

I've always liked the Radian. The gas tank is cool too. Nice mid-sized bike air cooled and well styled IMO. Shocks and emulators for the forks, or just put on a set of FZR forks with emulators R1/R6 calipers bolt up the FZR lowers and dual Stainless steel lines. As far as the swingarm it wouldn't be too difficult to go mono-shock with an FZR swingarm. I have one on my XS650. Keep up the good work.
Tim, I think a 250 Ninja swingarm will also fit the XS650?
Cheers, 50gary

Thanks for the kind words, gents. I have really enjoyed working on this bike. I know it's not the standard start for a cafe type motorcycle, but I think that is why I like it. Seat cover coming soon!

Oh, and the title "Yamhaha" isn't a typo, most of the guys I ride with are all HD. Thatis what they call it. Thay really like to give me crap. It makes me laugh every time we hit the curvies... or the straights... or sitting parking lots and people walk over to ask me about my bike.

There is a lot to be said for thinking outside the box, even more for pulling that plan off. Good looking bike man.

Nice work on the Radian.

My first bike was a Radian. I can still remember the time I scraped a footpeg on some very spirited
canyon riding. Great fun!
