Using studs on the cafe seats?

Hi guys :) I am in the process of making my own seat cushion and seat cover. I am stuck atm because i have no idea where i can buy those little metal studs that everybody has on their seats. I know it has to be pretty flat. I am trying to get some dark brown leather for the seat cover and would like to use metal studs to tack(?) it onto the seat alone the bottom like everybody else. I can't believe it's taking me more than a month just to make a seat :( I am stuck like chuck!

Studs? Do you mean snaps?? If so you can get them at any fabric or upholstry store.

Not snaps. What he's referring to I think are called upholstery brads. I've had a bitch of a time finding them as well. They basically are a two pronged piece that pokes through the seat and seat cover and you bend the prongs out to help hold the cover on. No luck at any fabric/upholstery stores anywhere in my area. Saw some on ebay quite a while ago but haven't seen them since.

Thanks for the replies guys :) I will check out Michaels again and ask them about it or even try Walmart. The walmart in my area actually has an arts and crafts section. thanks again for the replies, it's given me some hope!

Check on eBay for CB400F studs - I've seen people selling them from time to time (replica parts so they're cheaper). They are just upholstery brads, but a nice size and are used to recreate the factory CB400F seat look.

Voila:

Found this thread through a search-those are exactly what I need thanks guys!

FYI- they have these at Joann Fabrics or Michaels for a lot cheaper than the ones on ebay- around $5 (US) for a box of 20 or 50 depending on what size you want.
