Hey guys, got a real stumper here...well for me anyways.
83 CBX550F DOHC, having some annoying carb woes.
Took this bike down to bare frame, got it powder coated yadda yadda, now having annoying carbie issues.
Disassembled carbs cleaned them up nice, were in suprizingly good condition with minimal gunk inside. reassembled and put on bike. After dealing with my petcock woes it now seems that the floats arent set rite and its pouring fuel out the carbie upon trying to start up. When it feels like running she purrs like a kitten and spools nice, but wont idle. It just seems like she's getting WAY too much fuel, but in my mind the needle from the float should prevent this, however it is not.
These floats are non adjustable, nor are the float needle n seat, which just adds to the confusion for me.
Im not a carbie expert, so any help on this would be of great benefit, bike is 98% dun now and wants to be ridden.
cheers,
Sarge
