The real secret to spraying metallics is not to use a rattle can but you do the best with what you have...

I think it looks fantastic. You stayed true to your rendering at the beginning of the build!

Now for some proper carburation (common wealth spelling) carburator, carburettor, or carburetter from our friend and mentor from down under (are you from Australia or did you just live there?) where this is called a carby? Well this is a 26mm superhawk carby sent to us from Teazer.

Honestly ,that is straight of Jon kosmoski's mouth (owner and founder of House of Colors)
I have many candy paint jobs on vehicles. And that one step makes or breaks a job. Not only will you not see stripes, but the light retractions are intensified. Not matter can or gun.
But I did forget to say the bike is sweet. Sounds sweet! Looks sweet! And sweet family most important.

Zeke stripped the paint off the aluminum catch can and we tapped some brass fittings in

drilled the manifold out to 26mm and then ported to blend. Had to make adjustments to the mounting holes to get the manifold to line up with the carb.

Ok what is the trick to starting a bike with no choke as these carbs have had the chokes removed and the area filled with epoxy...I partially choked it with a rag and got it to fire but not started and after that we stopped because we had a leak...usually we leave it choked until it is warmed up? All the other carbs needed to be choked to start...I know it sounds pathetic.

Put your hand in front of the stacks. Give it a bit of throttle after it fires and keep on it until it will idle.

yea I will need an extra set of hands ... At the moment I have my left hand on the left carb. Zeke at the trotttle as I try to give the rear wheel a spin. If I only had one more arm :)

A shot of starting fluid down each throat, turn it over once, ignition on and it should fire.

Do not look down the inlet as you do it in case it fires back. Do not pour neat gas down the inlets. That trick on a downdraft carb got a mate of mine some very nasty burns and scars - chicks do not dig that sort of scar.

thanks my wife likes my beard... What is the float height for the superhawks...looks like the are set...thanks for the 115 jets. I don't know why I stressed over the manifold the cb 200's got us to the "perfect" port shape and we can attach gages to them...no frame mods needed with the polini velocity stacks. Glad to know I don't need to change the accent that is in my head when I read your posts...no beard on the barby :)
