Been Around the Block
I picked up this jacket for $65 at a thrift shop. It had really bad mildew stains and was stiff. After a few good scrubs with a soft sponge (which is key) and lexol cleaner it started coming back to life. If you do this get a good ph balanced cleaner and conditioner, just do your research. I'm not promoting a brand, just telling you what I used and that it worked. You want to kill the mold and not harm the leather at the same time. I re-dyed the faded areas with black leather dye, conditioned it, then did a protective coating of leather weather shield stuff. It came out great and is super soft. I wish I had taken some before pictures.
