Vintage Schott Perfecto motorcycle jacket, just like Marlon Brando and Joey Ramone used to wear! Excellent, well-worn patina with YKK zippers. Size 42, but it fits me a little on the snug side and I usually wear a 42R suit coat. I'm 6'1" and 180lbs., so it would be perfect for someone a tad smaller/shorter.
No rips, tears, stains or odors, just a perfect patina, well broken in and ready for a bike ride or a punk rawk show!
Buyer pays actual shipping from zip code 29730. Item is located in South Carolina, just minutes from Charlotte, NC.
$150 plus shipping. Or come pick it up if you're nearby. SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

nice Jacket!!...
If Im not mistaken, didn't Marlon wear the Schott Perfecto "1 star" ?

That's the Jacket (Not THAT one but the same make and model) My brother lent me in 88 to take my Humber corse in

He wasn't too impressed that it rained the intire weekend and pretty much got ruined

Actually I'd be interested, but I'm afraid you and I are almost the same size and it would fit me about the same as it fits you... which is a bummer... it looks like it's in fantastic shape.

Well, the folks at Schott sure seem to think it was one of theirs - model 618 to be specific. From the Schott company forums:

"We have always confirmed that the jacket worn by Marlon Brando was our style #618. After 50 years we can really only comment on what has been told to the next generation of the Schott family based on what jacket he wore. We do know the 613 & the 618 were very close in styling and for a time period the the 618 also had a star on each epaulet. The 613 had no snaps on the collar and the original 618 did have collar snaps. On Marlon Brando's jacket the collar does has snaps and it also has stars on the epaulets. We know his jacket was modified by the Embroidery of the name Johnny on the left chest of his jacket. The costume department could have also added the stars to the epaulets, but we do not think they would have added the snaps to the collar, therefore we feel that the jacket worn by him is the 618."

Oh, Good Lord...isn't it close enough? And if it ain't, how's this for cool?

Somebody buy this thing.... :D

Jeezus, it's a good jacket and someone should buy it. Has the not so common label with the motorcycle rider. That jacket new today would cost more than twice as much. Made in good ol'USA from good ol'American cows. Better yet just put in on ebay and let some Japanese collector scoop it.

My bad, a bit of a thread hijack. I love jackets and the history of them....

I would totally pick this up but I gotta sell off that Trialmaster before I buy anymore jackets. I also need to find a good WARM jacket (think parka warm) for the winter.

Got some measurements:
Shoulder to shoulder, across the back: 19in.
Armpit to armpit, across the back: 21in.
Collar to bottom of tail: 24in.
Shoulder to cuff: 25 in.
Armpit to cuff: 17in.

buy it! buy it! layer up and buy it!!

if you ask noel nice enough he may part with some star studs to make that super sexy.

You can pick up star studs locally. There's a shop on queen (beside the classic motorcycle restaurant) that sells patches and buttons and stuff...they have all sorts of studs and spikes.
