I thought i would give it 1 last try on this site .
On september 17th at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga
Ontario , i am running the fall vintage trackday .
This is a great day , a lot of fun and a safe eviroment to test
some of those awsome looking bikes .
There are 4 groups from a slow parade lap group to a fast group
mostly filled with VRRA racers and some fast modern stuff , yes we allow modern bikes
so we can sell the day and keep it going for next year .
For more information email me David at cvmgtrackdays@hotmail.com
The cost for the day is $125 or you could just come out to watch
and then get the bug .

Hope to hear from some of you guys .

Dave

I would love to go if I lived north. I'm unfortunately live in the U.S. and don't have the ability to attend due to the passport laws.

Hi Dave, I went last year in May and had a good time despite the heat. To be honest, there aren't many actual racers here, or even track riders. It's a bit of a commitment to go to Cayuga for the day from Toronto and trailers are in short supply. Can't say I'll make it for September due to time. Hopefully you'll get enough participants to make it worth your while.

I understand a lot of people dont have a trailer , as for not many racers in the club that is why we have opur slower classes so everyone no matter what their rideing ability and as for distance not any farther than going to Paris in June for the CVMG rally .
I read on one of the posts for the Mods V Rockers event that said lets support the vintage scene here doesnt this fit the bill .

I started rideng on the trackdays 7 years ago , had never been on a track before and i was 41 then , had so mutch fun i started running the vintage days , it is the only trackdays i do because it is all like minded people out there .

May be worth some of you guys rideing out to watch , i am hoping to come out to the Mods V Rockers on the weekend .

Would be fun to take a trip to Canada someday. Every Canadian I have met in life have been alot nicer than most U.S. citizens.

What sorts of rules need to be adhered to? Do bikes need safety wire etc?

No the bikes dont have to be saftey wired , tape up all of the lights and signals , silicone over the oil drain plug , safety wire the master link on the chain if you have one or a blob of silicone , remove the mirrors and if the bike is liquid cooled then remove the rad fluid and replace with deionized water .
For the 2 slower groups you can wear either balistic nylon rideing gear or leather or combination of both , leather gloves , leather boots that go above ankle or rideing boots and a fullface helmet .
For the 2 faster groups full leathers either 1 piece or 2 piece that must zip together , leather gloves ,
leather boots that go above the ankle or riding boots and a fullface helmet .

Unlike a lot of trackdays this one is a very relaxing day at the track with no one trying to race the guy in front which makes for a fun safe day .

Thought i would give this one last try , there is omly 1 week to go and i have spots left in med fast and fast if anyone is interested .
I could squeeze 1 or 2 more into the slower groups if needs be .

I really thought this would apeal to guys or gals who ride "CAFE RACERS "
I know if i was back home in the Uk it would .
It is nice to show these bikes but wouldn't it be nice to see what the bike and rider can really do .

Every American has been 10 times nicer then the people around here. I've driven from Souix st Marie to North Dakota, visited Boise Idaho (and surrounding towns), Salinas Kansas and Wichita for at least 3 weeks each. Must be a southern thing.

Dave, that sounds like a blast. I'd love to go if it was closer to me. I got a trackday locally on Monday and run my 05 Kawi but would love to take one of my vintage bikes out. I'll work on getting them better prepped over winter.
