Virago brat/cafe thing of some sorts. Is it worth it?

Dingo

peace and grease
So, I've been bike hunting for the past few weeks, and found a 750 virago the one with twin shocks, the thing is it has a bad camshaft or something along those lines.

The guy told me that fixing it and buying the bike should set me back about a Grand (in 'mercian money). And for the build I was thinking of doing something like this: lower the front end, put some clip ons, or a clubman bar, change the front wheel from a 19 inch to a 16 inch, actually i was thinking about running a back tyre on the back. And some 2 up style seat or along those lines.

Is it worth the hassle, or should I keep on hunting?

keep hunting. You can find one that runs with the monoshock for what you'll spend just to get that one running.

Yup. Move on from anything with a bad camshaft.

For some inspiration on what can be done with a mono-shock Virago check out Doc Chop's bikes.

Saw one in person last year at Barber - nicely done.
