Virago Docs Chop Subframe Measurement

Hi there,

New to the forum but not new to bikes. Sorry if this thread has been done because I know this project is far from original.

So I have begun a 1981 Virago 920 cafe project (You know, that one with the benelli tank and the DCC seat.... not-so-original, but cool). Anyways, I've begun looking into getting the new subframe dealt with, and I have figured that I have two options as a non-welding man;

1) Buy a fancy bolt on subframe from Docs Chops/Hageman MC for about $600 CAD
2) Get a local fabricator to build me one.

My question is, does anybody on here have a Docs frame that they can provide dimensions on. Or, has somebody else made a subframe that they still have dimension drawings around for?
