Alright... Big plans for the little fella this week.
- Disassemble the wheels/drums for cleaning and paint.
- Weld in the frame "hoop".
- Pull the motor for cleaning and paint.
- Start cleaning up the frame for paint.
- Strip the tank for its new paint-job.
- Start the seatpan
Still need to order:
- Smaller signals
- Bars (cant find 34mm clip ons I can afford)
- Battery
- Spokes (the og spokes are SHOT)
Not sure what Im going to do about:
- Fork uppers. (really rusty)
Or at least copy the bracing that goes from above the swing arm pivot to the cross tube in the backbone of the frame. A lot of guys just use straight tubing and not the curved like the factory road racers did. It is supposed to help a ton with handling.
Still plugging away at her a bit... Louie and I are both, lets say, in a "trasitional" phase right now... ha ha ha. So, Im not sure how much hes getting done, as I havent had a chance to talk to him recently, but my build has slowed waaayyy down for a minute. Should be hitting it pretty hard soon though.
