vtx1300 to 650 nighthawk

haven't seen this done but was wondering mainly about the hp to wheel ratio. I have a 83 cb650sc and would like to mod a vtx 1300 swingarm, drive shaft to it and then do the foots mod to run a 200 tire. are there any major concerns with available horsepower on my 650 engine? the 650 has 72 at 10k and the vtx has 74 at 5k. thanks ian

Ian, the VTX1300 is a much heavier bike, and makes 79 lb ft of torque. Your 650 Nighthawk makes 38 lb ft of torque. I would certainly think that the 1300 drive would be just fine in your application. My dad's 1300 has all the goodies, and will blaze the tire easily.
