Wow........just.......wow. It's motorcycle heaven. Hondas, Triumphs, and Indians- oh my!

What's the story?

i just shed a tear of jealousy, and as a result of being totally overwhelmed. that is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. as emcarthu said, heaven.

Like an episode of Hoarders! How many years of accumulation does a warehouse full of motorcycles take? I always wonder what a person is thinking when it starts to get to this level. Wouldn't a person be too old to enjoy this stuff at this point, even if he could sell it all, assuming that is, that it's late in his life. I'd sure like to tour someplace like that!

That's the BEST set of shed pics ever. Clearly someone knows what they have though. The old blue Honda with the silver tank/seat up on the table is a $10K bike restored.

so whats the back story? is this owned by some old person who might want to start thinning the herd?

typical hoarder/collector.

He bought all of them super cheap and knows exactly how much (he thinks) they are worth.

He won't sell any of them for less than astronomical prices, but also doesn't have the time to give them new life.

Probably end up kicking the bucket with %90 of the bikes dusty and rusty, at which point the estate will go up for sale and most of them will be sold in a single sale for ridiculously low price to someone else who already has way too many bikes.

Jay Leno's museum? Every engine is ready to run and ride.

This guys museum? A waste of good, historic stuff.

Makes me almost sick to see all that good stuff go to waste just rotting there. Reminds me of a local business we had here in CT called Cycle Salvage. The guy running the business lost interest in really "running" the place and sold out - cheap. Now the only and best bike salvage place in our state is gone and probably sitting in some guys basement. If you marketed it all right and sold stuff through various resources, I have no doubt there was at least $200K+ in parts and what not.

Interesting mix of bikes and so many that were never sold in the US AFAIK. Nice CB92 though. There was a time when I had two of those I was rebuilding.

So, what's the story with this collection?

OK seeing Billy is holding out< here is what I reckon, if you check the plates in some of the shots it looks like S.A & N.T sooo south australia & nothern territory also the Vw is a73 "L" bug and fuel filler is on the rhs " RHD" & the trees look like Malalucca's which grow in sandy arid soil.
My guess is north of adelaide towards coober pedy apart from that I know 2/3d's of F.A.
so how close am I billy???????????

Billy Whizz LOL cant give away to many secrets ;)

As for the guy with the bikes
many are for sale mainly the big CC stuff he intends to keep all smaller CC bikes and restore, he sells them through the WA Quokka usually and only sells one here and there to pay for stuff for the rebuilds
I agree, not my type of restorer but better in his shed than the bike splitters, scrap heap or tip
This guy travels the world picking stuff up, he was in the USA last year, Canada, New Zealand, up though Asia the UK all to fill the shed(s)
which were.... going to be turned into museums until a neighbour and well known Western Australia JP shot the idea down in flames
