My left wrist is in traction and my gf is still in the hospital with a broken left femur and she got 63 stiches on her chin. I tried avoiding the hit, I even angled my car so that my door took all the impact.
My air bags didnt deploy in my gfs Hyundai Elantra even after they did the recall on the airbags.
I can almost smell the washingtons. 110% not my fault.
That SUCKS man Hope you guys are both ok. Heres something interesting on that. My ex-gf accidentally *bumped* the rear of my old Volvo trying to park behind me and her airbag went off...literally she tapped it..crazy Hyundai's. On the upside tho....SUE MAN SUE...you'll have cafe projects pouring out of your arse...

Brutal dude. When you and your girl heal up you should go after the driver. Maybe you can slap a big lawsuit against Hyundai and settle out of court. If you win you won't be seeing Washingtons, more like Clevelands. Get well soon.
Sounds unfortunately like your gf took a good hit - broken femur is nasty and 63 stitches on a chin would be a major laceration. Pass along our thoughts and best wishes.
Hope things work out as they should with the insurance. My friend's wife was hit head on by some old man who fell asleep or some such nonsense, put her into the ditch. Totalled her van, sent her to physio. Now the old man, who was clearly at fault, is suing my friend and his wife for $3.2 million if you can stand it.
Keep us posted on your and your gf's recovery and how things get settled.
thanks for the kind words guys. i just got back from the orthopaedic doctor. a mri and cat scan confirmed 7 fractures in my left wrist and i will need surg. in a few weeks. The gf is going on night 3 in the hospital no because of shards of bone in her hip socket and she has loss of all sensation on her left knee cap.
i went to the local dealership to make print outs of all the service records and to my shock the records showed that the sensitivity to the pass, airbag was turned up! and it still didnt go off. I figured service records would start to disappear if i told them what happened so i told them i was selling the car and was giving the records to the buyer
On the other hand the police report stated that neither of us had belts on because belts strech after an accident. well threy do if the belts had actually locked. my gf didnt activate the airbag switch in the seat which also locks the belt because she only weighs 110. Even after the weigh was supposedly adjusted.
I have benn takin pics for insurance so ill post them when i get a chance. Im going back over to the hospital and stopping for my codine at the pharm
Thanks for all the words of encouragement and prayers guys! Once Hyundai settles out of court we'll do a whirlwind tour of Canada!
