weekend cafe project

I make things.
so it turned really nice out here, so I figgered I'd get the 400f all souped up and ride soon. the tank has always given me problems, since it was rusted so bad and never took sealer right, it's all messed up, so i'm building an aluminum tank for it, should look cool, almost like a bsa or something

almost finished with the tank, should be done this weekend... just had to throw it on the 400f I had, and when I did, I threw my first aluminum seat on it tooo..... hrmmmmm i might have to turn this into a cafe!! hehee

very nice man very very nice... i can only expect that you are going to fill in the lines from the tank to the seat as this is just a rough fit as of now... but wow man i really like the tail section

Are you planning a baffle for the inside? Might as well seeing as you're doing it all from scratch. From the little I know, it will also serve to strengthen the tank and help prevent damage from vibration etc.

finally finished this goddamn tank!! need to polish it now, which is a real bitch because I never see all the tiny little scratches until I get a good polished finish on it... oh well, i'll love it more when it's done I guess

I finished polishing, and scored a couple aluminum gas caps on ebay, not a bad price and they weld right on, I grabbed another one for my "magni" tank too

That tank is a thing of beauty. I would love to have the skills to do that. Guess I know what my next winter education will be.
